Here is a bit of information on what is going on around the Range.
Good: The annual deer surveys are under way. The numbers are looking great, and we'll post as soon as our biologist crunches the stats!
Good: We've instituted several long requested changes to our permit schedules and fees. See our "Permit Fees" tab for more information.
Good: We have instituted a new law enforcement program on the Range in compliance with the Air Force Conservation Law Enforcement Program initiative. We have 2 full time law enforcement Rangers on staff supporting regular patrols through the campgrounds, along the perimeters, and all across the Range. We want to ensure each of our users has the most enjoyable experience we can provide on APAFR.
Bad: We are still seeing a number of poaching incidents. Anyone with information is welcome to call (anonomously if desired).
Ugly: Good news...nothing ugly to report!
